Story / Origin

Father of Vaivasvata Manu (current Manu of our manvantara) and Yama-Yami twins. Krishna in Gita 4.1 states he first taught Karma Yoga to Vivasvan, who taught Manu — establishing the unbroken parampara of dharmic teaching.
