Dakshinamurthy Aarti
Aarti to Dakshinamurthy, the eternally young form of Shiva seated under the banyan tree facing south, the silent supreme guru who teaches the Brahma-vidya to the four aged Kumaras through chinmudra alone, expounded by Adi Shankara in the Dakshinamurthy Stotram.
Lyrics (Devanagari)

Meaning
Victory to Lord Dakshinamurthy, the supreme silent guru. Seated beneath the eternal banyan tree in a form of perfect tranquility, your right hand displays the chinmudra from which the Ganga of jnana flows ceaselessly. Your other hands hold the sacred scripture, the rudraksha mala and the flame of viveka. The four ageless rishis Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanatana and Sanatkumara sit at your feet, and through your silent discourse they realise the supreme Brahman. Your forehead is adorned with the three sacred lines and the crescent moon, and as the guru facing south you dispel the darkness of ignorance from every seeker who turns inward.
