Lyrics (Devanagari)

Meaning

Victory to Lord Mahavira, born in Kundalpur as the beloved son of Queen Trishala and King Siddhartha, named Vardhamana in childhood. After twelve years of unbroken austerity he attained Kevala Jnana, the omniscient light that revealed the true path to a darkened world. He proclaimed Ahimsa Paramo Dharma—non-violence as the supreme religion—and taught Anekantavada, Aparigraha and Satya. Devotees wave the lamp before the Tirthankara who showed the precise sevenfold path to moksha and the cessation of karmic bondage.
