Lyrics (Devanagari)

Meaning

Hail to Mother Kali, the dark Shyama Mother. Mahakali, Dakshina Kali, bestower of all happiness. Holder of sword and skull-cup, the garland of severed heads. The naked terrible form, scatterer of demon armies. Dweller of the cremation ground, with eyes of blazing flame. Yet most beloved of devotees, with thousand arms of compassion. Reclining on the heart of Shiva, Mother of wondrous play. Devourer of time itself, you are the play of supreme Brahman.
