ॐ जय सरस्वती माता, मैया जय सरस्वती माता।
सद्गुण वैभव शालिनी, त्रिभुवन विख्याता॥
चन्द्रवदनी पद्मासिनी, द्युति मंगलकारी।
सोहे शुभ हंस-सवारी, अतुल तेज-धारी॥
बायें कर में वीणा, दायें कर माला।
शीश मुकुट मणि सोहे, गल मोतियन माला॥
देवी शरण आये जो, ज्ञान-विज्ञान पाते।
सकल मनोरथ पूरण, जो भी तुम्हें ध्यावै॥
English Transliteration
Om Jai Saraswati Mata, Maiya Jai Saraswati Mata
Sadguna vaibhava shalini, tribhuvan vikhyata
Chandravadani Padmasini, dyuti mangalakari
Sohe shubh hansa-savari, atul tej-dhari
Bayen kar mein veena, dayen kar mala
Sheesh mukut mani sohe, gal motiyana mala
Devi sharan aaye jo, jnana-vijnana paate
Sakal manorath poorna, jo bhi tumhen dhyavai
Meaning
Hail to Mother Saraswati, Mother of virtues + splendour, renowned in all three worlds. Moon-faced, seated on the lotus, bestower of auspicious radiance. The sacred swan is your mount, holder of incomparable light. In your left hand the veena, right hand the rosary. Jewelled crown on head; pearl garland on neck. Those who take refuge in You receive knowledge + wisdom. Whoever meditates on You — all desires fulfilled.
