Concluding aarti of the Satyanarayan Katha, the most widely performed household puja in north and west India. Sung after the five-chapter katha is read on a full-moon day or any auspicious occasion such as marriage, naming ceremony or housewarming. Praises Vishnu as truth (satya) personified.

जय लक्ष्मी रमणा, स्वामी जय लक्ष्मी रमणा।

सत्यनारायण स्वामी, जन-पातक हरणा।

रत्न जड़ित सिंहासन, अद्भुत छवि राजे।

नारद करत निरंजन, घण्टा ध्वनि बाजे।

प्रकट भये कलि कारण, द्विज को दर्शन दीन्हा।

बूढ़ो ब्राह्मण बनकर, कंचन महल कीन्हा।

दुर्बल भील कठारो, जिन पर कृपा करी।

चन्द्रचूड एक राजा, तिनकी विपति हरी।

Ratna jadit sinhaasan, adbhut chhavi raaje

Naarad karat niranjan, ghantaa dhwani baaje

Prakat bhaye Kali kaaran, dwij ko darshan deenha

Boodho braahman bankar, kanchan mahal keenha

Durbal bheel kathaaro, jin par kripa kari

Chandrachood ek raaja, tinki vipati hari

Meaning

Victory to the beloved of Lakshmi, Lord Satyanarayan, remover of the sins of his devotees. On a jewelled throne his wondrous form is seated; Narada performs the worship and bells ring out. He appeared in the Kali age and gave darshan to a brahmin, took the form of an old brahmin and turned a hut into a gold palace. He showed mercy to a poor Bhil woodcutter and removed the calamity of King Chandrachuda.
