English Meaning
Verse 1 (Refrain): Victory to You, O Shiva, the primordial Om. Brahma, Vishnu, and Sadashiva together form the holy trinity, sustained by Your power.
Verse 2: With one face, four faces, or five faces, You manifest in countless forms. Mother Parvati on Your left, Ganga flowing from Your matted hair — such is Your majesty.
Verse 3: Brahma sits upon the lotus, Vishnu rides the eagle Garuda, and You, Mahadeva, ride the sacred bull Nandi. Each Lord upholds the cosmic order.
Verse 4: Brahma carries the Vedas, Vishnu the conch and discus, and You hold the trident, drum, and skull-mala — symbols of creation, preservation, and dissolution.
Verse 5: Saraswati, Lakshmi, and Parvati — the three Goddesses — serve at the feet of the trinity. Together they bestow knowledge, wealth, and strength upon the devotee.
Verse 6: Your throat shines blue from the poison You drank to save the world; the moon and serpent adorn Your head. Compassionate Lord, You are the refuge of all beings.
Verse 7: Whoever sings this aarti with a sincere heart finds their sins washed away and attains the eternal abode of Shiva. Hail Mahadeva, the giver of liberation.
This aarti is dedicated to Lord Shiva (Omkara), describing the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Best recited on Mondays and during Pradosh Kaal.
