Lord Kurma कूर्म

Lord Kurma is the second avatar of Vishnu — the divine tortoise who supported Mount Mandara on his back during Samudra Manthan (Ocean Churning). The Devas and Asuras churned the Ocean of Milk using Vasuki the serpent as rope and Mandara mountain as churn — Vishnu Kurma-form was the divine bedrock enabling 14 sacred items to emerge including Amrita (nectar of immortality), Lakshmi, Kamadhenu, Airavata, and Halahala poison.
