Origin story
After creation, the Adi-Shakti took this form — the cosmic queen who governs all 14 lokas (worlds) including all gods, demons, humans, beasts. Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva are aspects of her play. The fourth Mahavidya, supreme sovereign goddess.
Iconography
Four-armed, golden complexion like rising sun, seated on a lotus throne. Hands hold: noose, goad, abhaya, varada. Crowned, three eyes, smiling, full breasts indicating cosmic mother. Wears red sari, much ornamentation.
