Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, between Dwarka and Bet Dwarka, is counted among the twelve Jyotirlingas. "Nag" means serpent, "Eshwar" means Lord — Lord of Serpents. Legend: a devout Shiva bhakt named Supriya was kidnapped by the demon Daaruka and imprisoned in his city. Supriya, undeterred, prayed to Shiva and inspired other prisoners. Shiva appeared as a radiant Jyotirlinga, killed Daaruka, and stayed as Nageshwar. The most recognisable feature is the 25-meter tall sitting Shiva statue outside the temple, visible from a distance. The present temple was reconstructed with contributions from industrialist Gulshan Kumar (T-series).
Protector from all forms of poison (physical and metaphorical). Part of the Dwarka pilgrimage circuit.
The Swayambhu lingam is Dakshinamukhi (south-facing) with a triangular shape. It is set in a sanctum below ground level — devotees descend stairs.

The 25m tall Shiva statue outside is iconic — great photo spot. Always combine with Dwarkadhish and Bet Dwarka for the complete Dwarka circuit. Nag Panchami here is especially significant.

“Nag Dosh puja done with full vidhi. Priest was knowledgeable.”
“Combined Dwarka + Nageshwar + Bet Dwarka in 2 days — perfect pilgrimage.”

There is a debate — Dwarka, Aundha Nagnath (Maharashtra), and Jageshwar (Uttarakhand) all claim the Jyotirlinga title. Most traditional lists name Dwarka.
