Even Shiva worshipped this form to obtain the eight siddhis — Anima, Mahima, Garima, Laghima, Prapti, Prakamya, Ishitva, Vashitva. Half of Shiva's body became female from her grace — the original Ardhanarishvara. She fulfils all spiritual and material desires of true devotees.

Iconography

Four-armed, mounted on a lion or seated on a lotus. Right hands hold gada and chakra; left hands hold shankh and kamal. Radiant saffron-purple body, calm cosmic smile.
