Fasting Rules (Upvas Niyam)
- •Single satvic meal during day
- •Avoid grains until puja completes
- •Break fast with prasad after evening puja
- •Whole family observes together if possible
Rituals (Puja Vidhi)
- Decorate puja area with banana leaves + sugarcane (mandap-style)
- Idol/photo of Satyanarayan with Lakshmi
- Panchamrit abhishek
- Hear/recite all 5 chapters of Satyanarayan katha
- Distribute prasad to minimum 5 brahmins or families
- Aarti, then prasad with all attendees
