Rituals (Puja Vidhi)
- Install Ganesha idol at home (clay preferred)
- Pranapratishtha — invoke Ganesha into idol
- Daily aarti morning + evening for installed days (1.5, 3, 5, 7, or 11 days)
- Ganpati Atharvashirsha recitation 11x or 21x
- 21 modaks offered (Ganesha's favorite)
- Visarjan (immersion) in water body — preferably eco-friendly clay idol

Vrat Katha (Story Origin)
Parvati created boy from sandalwood paste to guard her bath. Shiva returned, didn't recognize him, beheaded him in battle. Parvati grieved; Shiva replaced head with first creature found — an elephant. Ganesha was made first to be worshipped before all gods.
