Benefits (Phal)
Removes greatest sins, grants liberation in this lifetime per Shiva Purana. Wishes manifested at midnight prahar with sincere bhava. Annual observance brings unmatched spiritual transformation.
Primary Mantra
Vrat Katha (Story Origin)
A hunter, lost in forest, climbed bilva tree to escape tiger. Throughout night he dropped leaves onto Shiva linga below to stay awake — unknowingly performing all-night puja. Tiger left, and Shiva appeared blessing him with moksha. Inadvertent worship still counts.
