Primary Mantra
Vrat Katha (Story Origin)
Per Skanda Purana, Sage Vyasa was born on Ashadha Purnima — making this day the appearance day of Adi Guru. Vyasa composed Mahabharata + Bhagavata Purana + Brahma Sutras + organized the four Vedas. The annual celebration honors not only Vyasa but all guru lineages flowing from him. Modern observance: Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa + Sri Aurobindo + Sri Ramana Maharshi appearance days also coincide.
