The Yoga of the Divine & Demoniac Natures
Daivāsura-sampad-vibhāga-yoga
Theme: Divine vs. demoniac qualities
Speaker: Krishna
Two types of beings: divine (daivi) and demoniac (asuri). The divine qualities (16.1-3): fearlessness, purity, charity, self-control, study, austerity, non-violence, truthfulness, peace. The demoniac (16.4): hypocrisy, arrogance, anger, harshness, ignorance. Demoniac people hate God in themselves and others; divine ones move toward liberation.
