Chapter 13 of 18 · 35 verses · Kshetra-Kshetrajna Vibhaga
The Yoga of the Field and the Knower of the Field
Kṣetra-kṣetrajña-vibhāga-yoga
Theme: Body as field, soul as knower
Speaker: Krishna
The body is the field (kshetra); the soul is the knower of the field (kshetrajna). Krishna is the knower in all fields. The qualities of knowledge are enumerated (13.7-11): humility, non-violence, forgiveness, simplicity, self-control, equanimity. Prakriti and Purusha are eternal; the bondage of the soul is mistaking itself for the field.

You are not the body. You are the awareness that knows the body.
