Chapter summary

Krishna grants Arjuna divine sight (divya chakshu) and reveals his Universal Form — infinite faces, all worlds within, time itself devouring beings into his terrible mouths. Arjuna is awestruck and terrified, begs Krishna to resume his familiar form. Krishna says: only by exclusive devotion can this form be seen (11.54).
